He captioned, “My Nani, Amar Kaur Sodhi .. and my Nana Khazan Singh Suri .. must be smiling from the heavens to see me thus .. in my Sikh roots !!“. Some people started assuming that it is Amitabh’s look in the movie ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ but he clarified that the look is for an advertisement.

On 21st March 2018, Amitabh Bachchan posted a picture of Turban-clad Abhishek Bachchan’s first look in Manmarziyaan (2018) on his twitter account. He also shared that Abhishek Bachchan’s grandmother Teji Kaur Suri, his maternal great-grandfather Khazan Singh Suri and his maternal great-grandmother Amar Kaur Sodhi must be feeling proud to see Abhishek Bachchan in a Sikh look.
