Devyn Nekoda was born on 12 December 2000 to Doug Nekoda and Danielle Nekoda in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. She also has a younger brother named Kove Nekoda, who is an emerging football & rugby player.

Devyn Nekoda started dancing at the age of 2, winning several titles at events across North America and touring with the 7-time JUNO nominees and 2-time JUNO winners kids entertainers Splash’N Boots.
She studied at Brantford Collegiate Institute And Vocational School in Brantford, Canada and joined Lisa Naves Dance Company (LNDC) in Simcoe, Canada, where she learned Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Acro, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acrobatics, and many other Dance styles & later enrolled at the Toronto School of Circus Arts in Toronto, Canada.
She clinched a leading role in the film American Girl: Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight (2014) in her first-ever on-camera audition. The direct-to-DVD film directed by Vince Marcello won the National Parenting Publications (NAPPA) Silver Award.
Devyn was seen in recurring and guest roles in Max & Shred (2014), The Next Step (2014-15), Degrassi: The Next Generation (2014-15), Annedroids (2015-16) and Raising Expectations (2016-19).
From 2016 to 2017, she played the leading role of Vanessa Morita in the television series ‘Backstage’.
