Donavon Ferreira is a South African cricketer who plays as a wicketkeeper-batter for the Titans in South Africa’s domestic league, the CSA T20 challenge. He has also represented the Northerns and Easterns in the past.
Donavon was born on 21 July 1998 in Pretoria, South Africa. He also has a sister named Donnay Ferreira.
He did his schooling from Pretoria Boys High School in Pretoria, South Africa and later graduated from University of Pretoria.
He played both hockey and cricket in his school but later decided to focus on his cricket career.
Donovan Ferreira made his Twenty20 debut for Northerns against Free State at Oudtshoorn in the 2018 Africa T20 Cup on 14 September 2018. He scored 22 runs in 17 balls and also took 2 wickets as Northerns won by 14 runs.
Ferreira made his List A debut for Northerns against Western Province in the 2019–20 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge at Cape Town on 19 October 2019. He was Out for a golden duck in his List A debut match.
He made his first-class debut for Easterns against Free State in the 2020–21 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup at Bloemfontein on 22 February, 2022.
He was the Joburg Super Kings’ biggest signing at the SA20 League player auction on 19 September 2022. They signed him for Rand 5.5 million (USD 310,000 approx).
In December 2022, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 50 lakh (USD 60,000) in the IPL mini-auction 2022.
He has played for the Tshwane Spartans in the Mzansi Super League (MSL).
He was in a relationship with speech therapist Tayla-Ann Macaskill but the couple parted ways in 2019.
