He was born on 30th August 1999 in a Muslim family in a slum in Pune, Maharashtra. He started as a qawwali singer and also tried his hands at B-boying and beatboxing, before his brother introduced him to hip-hop when he was 12 years old. He wrote his first rap song when he was in the 8th standard in school. He rose to fame after his rap battle with Emiway Bantai, ‘Wata’ was released on 8th August 2018 and it crossed over 21 million views on YouTube.

His song ‘Khuja Mat’ was released on 1st January 2019 and it was a massive hit. It has over 36 million views on YouTube till date.

‘Aastaghfirullah’ was released on 31st December 2019 and it has over 19 million YouTube views.

In an interview, MC Stan spoke about making Hindi a global language through his raps. He said,
“Hindi is my genre and I want to take Hindi onto a worldwide platform as it is my ‘matrabhasha’. I desire to disperse this language until it is incorporated into the school curriculum of Western countries which also led me to start my own record label called Hindi Records.” He has released two albums, Insaan (2022) and Tadipaar (2020) and is often criticised for the abusive and violent lyrics in his rap songs. He wears a diamond-studded “HINDI” pendant worth ₹1.5 crores and also has a customized diamond chain with the rupees logo “₹”, which is made up of over 60 carat diamonds.

In an interview with Raaj Jones, he admitted that he often smokes weed. He enjoys a massive fan following and has over 2.5 million followers on instagram and over 3 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. His rags to riches story is an inspiration for all and his estimated net worth is around ₹20 crores. He is a big fan of famous American rapper Eminem and he chose MC Stan as his stage name because Eminem fans are known as Stans. He has a ‘Compton’ tattoo on his chest and also has the letters S, T, A, and N tattooed on his fingers.

MC Stan met rapper Auzma Shaikh whose stage name is YG Don in November 2021 but broke up in February 2022. Following the breakup MC Stan and Auzma Shaikh posted each other’s residential address on social media platforms.

Auzma Shaikh filed a complaint alleging assault against MC Stan, his manager Vardhaman Mehta and his friends Aakash and Sunny. Auzma said,
“I am a music artiste and a rapper. We met in November and broke up last month, and there was a fight. After the break-up, he posted my home address on social media. He has millions of followers and many of them started coming to my house. I also started receiving rape threats.“

“I too posted MC Stan’s and his manager Vardhaman Mehta’s home addresses on my Instagram account with a video. In revenge, he called Santacruz police station and filed a non-cognisable complaint against me for posting his address. On February 21, I went to the police station with two of my friends after we were called. Mehta was there with his friends. When we were returning home, Mehta and his friends Aakash and Sunny followed us on bikes. They stopped the auto, verbally abused us, kicked and thrashed us and also snatched my iPhone and smashed it,” she added.

“I received many injuries on my face and nose. We somehow managed to escape and entered a cake shop and asked for help. Meanwhile, they fled. We went back to Santacruz police station, but the police didn’t register our complaint. Officers told us that they need time to investigate our matter. We also went to the DCP office but didn’t get any help there either. Finally, on March 3, Santacruz police registered the FIR in my case,” she added.

Santacruz police registered the FIR against MC Stan’s manager and his two friends and started probing MC Stan’s alleged role on March 3, 2022. A police officer from Santacruz police station said,
“We have registered the FIR against Mehta, Aakash and Sunny under Sections IPC 354 D (stalking), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of Rs 50), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention). We have not arrested anyone in this case yet.”

MC Stan participated in Colors TV’s reality show Bigg Boss 16 and was declared the winner of the reality TV show Bigg Boss 16 during the grand finale on 12th February 2023. Apart from him Gori Nagori, Abdu Rozik, Shiv Thakare, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Ankit Gupta, Archana Gautam, Sreejita De, Gautam Singh Vig, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shalin Bhanot, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Manya Singh, Tina Datta, Soundarya Sharma and Sajid Khan participated as contestant in Bigg Boss 16.

He walked onto the stage wearing Rs 70 lakh jewellery and calling himself ‘Basti ka hasti’ on the premiere night of Bigg Boss 16.

In an interview, he spoke about the reason for entering the Bigg Boss house. He said,
“For me, it is a huge thing for someone like me who rose from a basti (slum) in Pune to enter the BB house. I want to clear some controversies and want to experience this new world. People usually have a lot of misconceptions about me because of the way I talk, maybe. I speak a lot of truth and hence, they have an issue. Recently, there was a controversy about my song related to a girl, so I hope and wish to clarify all that. I want people to see me in a different light, they judge me basis my songs. I hope to change that after Bigg Boss 16.”

MC Stan also emphasised that he wants people to see him in a different light. He said,
