Sanvir Singh (born 12 October 1996) is an Indian cricketer who plays as a batting allrounder for Punjab in domestic cricket. Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Sanvir Singh for Rs 20 Lakh at the 2023 IPL auction.
In the age-group cricket, Sanvir Singh was called ‘Neil Johnson’ as he used to open the bowling and batting just like the former Zimbabwe all-rounder.
Singh made his List A debut for Punjab against Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Bengaluru on 28 September 2018.
Singh made his first-class debut for Punjab against Andhra in the Ranji Trophy at Visakhapatnam on 1 November 2018. Batting at number six, he scored a century (110) in his Ranji Trophy debut match but the match ended in a draw.
Sanvir Singh made his T20 debut for Punjab against Puducherry in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 4 November 2021.
At the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022, he scored 119 runs in five innings with three not-outs at a strike rate of 205.17 and average of 59.50. He also took 2 wickets in the 6 overs he bowled. Sanvir scored a quick-fire 54*(18) against Hyderabad in the tournament.
