| Gill was arrested on 16 February 2023 by the Mumbai police for allegedly attacking the car of cricketer Prithvi Shaw outside Barrel Mansion Club in Vile Parle East on 15th February night. According to reports, Sapna Gill and her friend Shobhit Thakur requested Prithvi Shaw for a selfie which he obliged. However, Shaw refused to entertain their further requests for selfies and Gill & her friend was escorted from the premises by a security guard. It was when Shaw was leaving the hotel premises with his friends after dinner that the duo along with their friends allegedly attacked the car of Shaw’s friend Ashish’s four-wheeler and damaged the windscreen with a baseball bat.
DCP Zone 9 Anil Paraskar said, Meanwhile, Sapna Gill’s lawyer Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh alleged that Shaw had assaulted Gill with his bat. He said, |
